Memento Mori are a group of ragtag adventurers who found themselves connected by the strings of fate. After taking a job to escort goods to Phandalin and saving the town from a band of ruffians, the party stumbled upon a sinister plot that threatened the safety of the Sword Coast. The Dragon Cult, an organization of devout worshippers of Tiamat, the queen of evil dragons, have reemerged and are amassing their forces to break Tiamat loose from her prison in the Hells. Memento Mori are the only ones who can stop this great evil to save the Sword Coast and all of Faerûn.

In A Bitter Brawl, Memento Mori have been dispatched to Skyreach Castle, a floating castle at the heart of cultist activity. Their objective: go undercover as cultists, find out what the cult is planning, and stop them in their tracks. Unbeknownst to the party, a dragon resides deep within the ice tunnels beneath the castle, and an even greater foe threatens everything that Memento Mori holds dear.
